Transfer Pipettes
A transfer pipette, also known as a Pasteur pipette, is a type of low precision (+/-10%) laboratory pipette used for transferring small volumes of liquids. They typically have a thin, tapered tip at one end and a bulbous or cylindrical section at the other end. They are extremely affordable, cents per piece, which makes them ideal for use in kits and other situations where a disposable pipette is needed. Owing to their soft, blow molded polypropylene design they are especially useful in situations, e.g. virology or blood banking, where shatterproof material is a must. Nest transfer pipettes are available in a range of volumes and packaging options.
